Food Waste
ORCA – THE FUTURE OF FOOD WASTE DISPOSAL.
The ORCA technology is the new ultimate waste management system. It works on-site in your facility to “digest” waste within 24 hours, drastically reducing the number of bins your staff needs to haul out of your store, and the overall tonnage your waste disposal company needs to haul to landfill. It’s compact, efficient, saves on labor, is remarkably clean and undeniably green.
The ORCA machine enables rapid composting of most organic material in institutional and commercial end-user applications. It utilizes an aerobic digestion process that converts food waste into an effluent safe for discharge into the municipal wastewater system where high value renewable fuels and natural fertilizers can be economically produced and recovered. The unit accelerates the breakdown of food waste through a combination of our proprietary Microorganism solution and Bio Chips, oxygen and water.
WPM Green Energy partners with the Canadian Totally Green Inc. - the parent company of the ORCA and a pioneer in organic food processing systems. The company develops, manufactures and markets the ORCA solution, which consists of a machine that sustainably processes food waste, and an extensive service plan to ensure clients get the support and attention they need.
The machine creates meaningful cost savings for customers while diverting food waste disposal from landfills and reducing methane gas production. The ORCA technology offers businesses an innovative and affordable solution for food by-product disposal.
HOW IT WORKS
ORCA designs, manufactures and installs the leading technology in the food waste recycling industry. ORCA uses mostly air, along with water and microbiology to turn your food waste into an environmentally safe liquid that goes down the drain and is disposed of using the existing sanitary sewer infrastructure.
Once at the waste water treatment plant, the journey is not over. The liquid can then be used to create renewable, sustainable energy. Our technology creates meaningful cost savings for customers while diverting food waste from landfills. Landfill diversion reduces both carbon dioxide and methane gas emissions.
